Description
A quick and flavorful Texas Roadhouse butter chicken skillet, made with tender chicken breast, honey garlic glaze, and finished with fresh herbs. Perfect for busy weeknights or casual dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- ¼ cup unsalted butter
- 2 tsp honey
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ¼ cup chicken broth
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix together the butter, honey, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until smooth. Set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chicken breasts and cook for 5–6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- Pour chicken broth into the skillet to deglaze the pan, scraping up browned bits for flavor.
- Add the prepared butter mixture to the skillet and simmer for 1–2 minutes until the sauce is smooth and glossy.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the sauce over the top. Let simmer for another 2–3 minutes to absorb flavor.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot with your choice of sides.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add minced garlic to the butter mixture.
- Use boneless chicken thighs for a juicier variation.
- Serve with rice, mashed potatoes, or vegetables.
- Double the sauce if you like it extra saucy.
