- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1–2 tablespoons sugar (optional, if using pretzels)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups whipped topping or whipped cream
- 1 package (3 oz) strawberry gelatin
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 cup cold water
- 1 1/2 cups sliced strawberries (fresh or frozen)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Crush pretzels or cookies into coarse crumbs. Mix with melted butter and sugar (if using), then press into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish. Bake for 10 minutes and cool completely.
- Beat softened cream cheese in a large bowl until smooth. Add sugar and mix until fully combined. Fold in whipped topping gently. Spread over the cooled crust, sealing all edges.
- Dissolve strawberry gelatin in 1 cup of boiling water. Stir until fully dissolved. Add 1 cup cold water and let it cool slightly. Fold in sliced strawberries.
- Pour the strawberry mixture over the cream layer. Spread evenly. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight until fully set.
- Slice into squares and serve chilled. Enjoy!
