Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lb chicken wings, split and tips removed
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
- Ranch or garlic dipping sauce (for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking tray with foil and place a rack over it.
- Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. Toss with olive oil, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Arrange wings in a single layer on the rack. Bake for 40–45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- While wings bake, combine honey, soy sauce, melted butter, garlic, vinegar, and chili flakes in a saucepan. Simmer for 3–5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Remove wings from oven, brush with glaze, and return to oven for 5–8 minutes until sticky and caramelized.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- Use a rack to promote crispiness on all sides.
- Pat wings thoroughly dry before seasoning.
- Add more chili flakes or sriracha for extra heat.
- Leftovers reheat well in the oven or air fryer.
- Use gluten-free soy sauce for a GF version.
