Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Graham Cracker Crust
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a small bowl, mix 1 cup graham cracker crumbs with 1/2 cup melted butter until well combined.
- Line a cupcake pan with liners, and press a tablespoon of the crumb mixture into the bottom of each liner.
Step 2: Make the Chocolate Cupcake Batter
- In a medium bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate large bowl, whisk sugar, buttermilk, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Then, carefully add the boiling water and mix until smooth.
Step 3: Assemble and Bake
- Pour the batter over the graham cracker crust in each cupcake liner, filling about two-thirds of the way.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow the cupcakes to cool completely before filling and frosting.
Step 4: Fill with Marshmallow Fluff and Frost
- Use a small spoon to scoop out the center of each cupcake. Fill with a teaspoon of marshmallow fluff or marshmallow cream.
- Finally, frost each cupcake with chocolate frosting for that perfect chocolatey finish.
