Description

These no bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Christmas Trees are shaped like festive holiday trees and filled with a creamy peanut butter center wrapped in a rich chocolate shell. Perfect for cookie trays, edible gifts, and holiday dessert boards.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1012 oz chocolate chips or chopped chocolate (half semi-sweet, half milk chocolate recommended)

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving overhang on the sides.
  2. In a bowl, mix peanut butter, melted butter, brown sugar, vanilla, and salt until smooth.
  3. Gradually add powdered sugar and stir until a thick, moldable dough forms.
  4. Press the mixture into the pan and smooth the surface to about ½ inch thick.
  5. Freeze for 20–30 minutes until firm.
  6. Use a tree-shaped cookie cutter to cut out shapes from the chilled dough.
  7. Place cutouts on a parchment-lined tray and freeze for 45–60 minutes until solid.
  8. Melt the chocolate in a microwave or double boiler until smooth.
  9. Dip each frozen tree into the melted chocolate, tap off excess, and place on a clean tray.
  10. Refrigerate until the chocolate sets, then store in the fridge or freezer.

Notes

  • Use a sharp metal cookie cutter for clean shapes.
  • Only remove a few trees at a time from the freezer when dipping.
  • Add 1 tsp coconut oil to the chocolate for a smoother coating.
  • Sprinkle with festive toppings before the chocolate sets.
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks or freeze for longer.
