Instructions
1️⃣ Cook the Rice (Choose Your Method)
Stovetop:
Rinse 1 cup of rice under cold water until clear.
Combine with 2 cups of water in a pot.
Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.
Let sit for 5 minutes before fluffing with a fork.
Rice Cooker:
Add rinsed rice and water to the cooker.
Set it according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Instant Pot:
Add rinsed rice and water to the pot.
Pressure cook on high for 3 minutes and let it naturally release.
2️⃣ Cook the Ground Beef
Brown the Beef: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and break it apart as it cooks. Cook for 5-7 minutes until browned.
Add Aromatics: Drain excess fat if needed, then add garlic and ginger. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Season It Up: Stir in soy sauce, sesame oil, and green onions. Simmer for 2-3 minutes to absorb flavors.
3️⃣ Assemble the Bowl
Start with a Base: Scoop steamed rice into a bowl.
Add the Beef Mixture: Spoon the flavorful ground beef on top.
Top It Off: Garnish with sesame seeds, green onions, and kimchi.
🔥 Pro Tip: For an authentic Korean touch, top your bowl with a fried egg 🍳!
Notes
For a healthier version, swap white rice with brown rice, quinoa, or cauliflower rice. Want extra crunch? Add shredded carrots or cucumber slices! 🌿🔥
