- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt
- 1/2 cup cottage cheese
- 1/4 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- Add yogurt, cottage cheese, warm water, melted butter, and olive oil. Mix to form a soft dough.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 20 minutes.
- Divide the dough into 6 equal portions and roll each into a ball.
- Flatten each ball into a round, about 1/4 inch thick.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and lightly oil the surface.
- Place the flatbread on the skillet and cook until bubbles form, about 2 minutes.
- Flip and cook the other side until golden brown.
- Brush each flatbread with melted butter mixed with minced garlic and sprinkle with parsley and crumbled feta.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
- For a gluten-free version, replace all-purpose flour with gluten-free flour blend.
- To enhance garlic flavor, add roasted garlic to the dough.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
