Description

Cottage Cheese Chips are a crispy, high-protein, low-carb snack made from baked or air-fried cottage cheese seasoned with herbs and spices. They’re golden, crunchy, and perfect for healthy snacking without guilt.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup cottage cheese (small curds preferred)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried herbs (rosemary or thyme)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil spray or brush of oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Drain the cottage cheese thoroughly using paper towels or a fine-mesh sieve to remove excess moisture.
  3. In a bowl, mix the drained cottage cheese with garlic powder, onion powder, dried herbs, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  4. Drop tablespoon-sized portions of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, flatten slightly, and space them apart.
  5. Bake for 15–20 minutes or until the chips are golden brown and crisp around the edges.
  6. Let the chips cool on the pan for 5 minutes; they’ll continue to crisp as they cool.
  7. Optional: For the air fryer version, cook at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through.

Notes

  • Drain the cottage cheese thoroughly for the crispiest results.
  • Use small-curd cottage cheese for even baking.
  • Experiment with flavors like smoked paprika, everything-bagel seasoning, or Parmesan for variety.
  • Store chips in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
  • Re-crisp in a 350°F oven for 5 minutes before serving.
