Classic Chicken Club Wrap with Avocado, and Creamy Dijon Sauce

Description

Hello food lovers! ???? Are you ready to take your lunch game to the next level? Today, we’re diving into the world of wraps with a delicious Chicken Club Wrap that brings together all your favorite ingredients: crispy bacon, creamy avocado, tender chicken, and a zesty Dijon sauce. It’s simple, quick, and incredibly satisfying—perfect for a lunch on-the-go or a light dinner. Let’s get started!

Ingredients

Scale

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked until crispy
  • 2 ripe avocados, sliced
  • 2 tomatoes, sliced
  • 4 large lettuce leaves (romaine or green leaf)
  • 4 large tortillas or wraps (spinach or sundried tomato flavored are great)
  • 1⁄4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

and Creamy Dijon Sauce:

  1. Cook the Chicken: Season the chicken breast with salt and pepper. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken for 6-8 minutes per side, until cooked through. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing it thinly.
  2. Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and lime juice to create the sauce.
  3. Assemble the Wrap: Lay out each tortilla and spread the Dijon sauce in the center. Next, layer lettuce leaves on top of the sauce. Add sliced tomatoes and avocado.
  4. Add the Protein: Top the vegetables with slices of the cooked chicken and two slices of crispy bacon for each wrap.
  5. Wrap It Up: Fold in the sides of the tortilla over the fillings, then roll up the tortilla tightly like a burrito.
  6. Serve: Slice each wrap in half diagonally and serve immediately for a fresh, flavorful meal.

Notes

  1. Avoid Soggy Wraps: To prevent sogginess, pat the lettuce and tomatoes dry with paper towels before adding them to the wrap. This keeps the tortillas fresh and intact for longer.
  2. Chicken Shortcuts: If you’re in a hurry, consider using rotisserie chicken or even grilled chicken strips to save time without sacrificing flavor.
  3. Perfect Avocado Slices: To achieve perfect avocado slices, make sure your avocados are ripe but not overly soft. This gives you the creamy texture without the avocado turning to mush.
