Ingredients
Scale
- ½ cup unsalted butter, very soft
- 1 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- 8 slices white bread
- 12 slices mozzarella cheese
- 6 ounces pepperoni
- Warm pizza sauce for dipping
Instructions
- Prepare the butter spread: In a medium-sized bowl, mix together the butter, grated parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and dried Italian seasoning until smooth and well combined.
- Butter the bread: Spread the butter mixture evenly over one side of each slice of bread. Ensure that the entire surface is coated for maximum flavor and crispiness.
- Assemble the sandwich: Over medium-low heat, place a slice of bread butter-side down in a skillet. Top it with a slice of mozzarella cheese, followed by 6 slices of pepperoni, another slice of mozzarella, 6 more slices of pepperoni, and a final slice of mozzarella. Place another slice of bread on top, butter-side up.
- Cook the sandwich: Cook the sandwich until the bottom is golden brown and crispy, about 3-5 minutes. Then, carefully flip the sandwich and cook the other side until it’s also golden brown and the cheese has melted to perfection.
- Serve: Slice the sandwich in half and serve it immediately with warm pizza sauce for dipping. Enjoy the perfect blend of pizza and grilled cheese in every bite!

- Choosing the right bread: For the best results, use thick slices of white or sourdough bread. This will help the sandwich hold together and provide a satisfying crunch.
- Perfecting the cook time: To ensure the cheese melts evenly without burning the bread, keep the heat at medium-low and be patient. If the bread is browning too quickly, reduce the heat slightly.
