Description

Creamy Cajun sausage ravioli is a bold, one-skillet pasta dish featuring spicy Italian sausage, cheese ravioli, colorful peppers, and a rich Parmesan Cajun cream sauce — ready in just 35 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb spicy Italian sausage
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ red bell pepper, diced
  • ½ green bell pepper, diced
  • ½ large red onion, diced
  • 67 garlic cloves, minced
  • 25 oz bag frozen cheese ravioli
  • 1 tbsp garlic seasoning blend
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes
  • ¼ cup beef or chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ¾1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup reserved pasta water

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sausage, peppers, onion, and garlic. Cook for 8–10 minutes, breaking up sausage until browned and vegetables are tender.
  2. Stir in garlic seasoning, Cajun seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Pour in broth, heavy cream, and Parmesan cheese. Stir until cheese melts and sauce is smooth. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, cook ravioli according to package directions. Reserve ¼ cup pasta water, then drain.
  5. Add cooked ravioli and reserved pasta water to the skillet. Gently toss to coat.
  6. Simmer on low for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until sauce thickens. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  7. Serve hot with extra Parmesan if desired.

Notes

  • Make the sauce a day ahead; reheat and toss with fresh ravioli before serving.
  • Reserved pasta water helps bind and silkify the sauce.
  • Adjust Cajun seasoning and red pepper flakes for more or less heat.
  • Refrigerate leftovers up to 4 days; reheat gently with a splash of cream or broth.
