Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz of beef chuck, cubed
- 12 oz of cheese tortellini, cooked according to package instructions
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1/2 cup of diced onion
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon of dried basil
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef chuck, season with salt and pepper, and sear until browned on all sides (about 5–7 minutes). Remove from pan and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add diced onion and minced garlic. Sauté for about 3 minutes until fragrant and translucent.
- Return beef to skillet. Stir in heavy cream, dried basil, and half the Parmesan cheese. Simmer for 4–5 minutes until the sauce begins to thicken.
- Add cooked tortellini to the skillet. Gently toss to coat in the creamy sauce. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
- Garnish with remaining Parmesan cheese and fresh chopped parsley. Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
- Use pre-cooked tortellini to save time.
- For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
- Substitute beef chuck with ground beef or chicken for variations.
- Add spinach or sun-dried tomatoes for extra flavor and nutrition.
- Don’t overcook the cream sauce—just simmer until thickened.
