Description
This homemade strawberry cream cheese is a light, fluffy, and creamy spread made with only 3 ingredients—perfect for bagels, toast, desserts, or dipping fruit. It comes together in minutes and tastes like a bite of strawberry cheesecake.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb fresh strawberries, washed and hulled
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- 2 blocks (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
Instructions
- Place the hulled strawberries in a strainer and sprinkle evenly with sugar. Let sit for 15–20 minutes to release juices.
- Transfer the strawberries to a bowl and mash them slightly with a fork or masher.
- In a separate bowl, whip the softened cream cheese using a hand mixer until smooth and fluffy.
- Fold the mashed strawberries into the cream cheese and mix until just combined.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a stronger strawberry flavor, add 1–2 teaspoons of strawberry extract.
- For a cheesecake-like taste, mix in 1–2 teaspoons of vanilla extract.
- If you prefer a smoother texture, use only the strawberry juice instead of the mashed fruit.
- Use fully thawed frozen strawberries if fresh are not available.
