Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 2 cups crushed sugar cookies
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

For the Cheesecake Filling:

  • 16 oz (2 packages) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup holiday sprinkles (red and green)

For the Topping:

  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 2 tbsp holiday sprinkles for garnish

Optional substitutions: Replace sour cream with Greek yogurt for a lighter filling. Use gluten-free sugar cookies for a gluten-free crust.

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Crust

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C) and grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. Combine crushed sugar cookies with melted butter in a medium bowl.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan to form an even crust.
  4. Bake the crust for 10 minutes, then set aside to cool.

Step 2: Make the Filling

  1. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth.
  2. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition.
  3. Mix in the vanilla extract, sour cream, and heavy cream until fully combined.

Step 3: Add Festive Sprinkles

  1. Gently fold in the holiday sprinkles to the cheesecake batter for a festive touch.

Step 4: Assemble and Bake

  1. Pour the batter over the cooled crust and spread evenly.
  2. Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly.

Step 5: Cool and Chill

  1. Turn off the oven and allow the cheesecake to cool inside with the door slightly ajar for 1 hour.
  2. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Step 6: Garnish and Serve

  1. Before serving, top with whipped cream and garnish with holiday sprinkles.

Notes

  • Room-temperature ingredients: Ensures a smooth filling without lumps.
  • Avoid overmixing: Overmixing can cause cracks in the cheesecake.
  • Line your pan: Use parchment paper to make it easier to remove the cheesecake.
