- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, combine the melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract. Stir into the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in the sour cream until the batter is smooth.
- In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Fill each muffin liner halfway with batter. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the batter and then top with more batter until each liner is three-quarters full.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the muffins to cool slightly. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and 2 tablespoons of milk to create a glaze.
- Drizzle the glaze over the warm muffins and serve.
