Whether you’re looking for a cozy family dinner or an effortless meal for a gathering, this dish is bound to impress. Using layers of delicious ravioli and a rich Alfredo sauce, it’s perfect for any night of the week!

Ingredients

Scale

  • 1 (25-ounce) bag frozen cheese ravioli
  • 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken (rotisserie chicken works great!)
  • 1 (16-ounce) jar Alfredo sauce
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 (15-ounce) container of ricotta cheese
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Optional Substitutions:

  • For a vegetarian option, skip the chicken and add layers of sautéed spinach or mushrooms.
  • Dairy-free Alfredo sauce and cheese substitutes work great for lactose-intolerant diners.

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Slow Cooker

  • Start by lightly greasing the inside of your slow cooker.
  • Spread a small amount of Alfredo sauce on the bottom to prevent sticking.

Step 2: Layering the Ravioli

  • Place half of the frozen ravioli in a single layer over the sauce.

Step 3: Add the Chicken and Alfredo Mix

  • Combine the shredded chicken with half of the remaining Alfredo sauce and spread over the ravioli.

Step 4: Layer the Cheeses

  • Spoon half of the ricotta cheese in dollops over the chicken layer, then sprinkle with half of the mozzarella and half of the Parmesan cheese.
  • Sprinkle a little Italian seasoning over the cheese.

Step 5: Repeat the Layers

  • Repeat the layers, starting with the rest of the ravioli, the chicken and Alfredo mix, ricotta, and ending with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan.

Step 6: Slow Cook to Perfection

  • Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours, until the ravioli is tender and the cheese is bubbly and melted.

Step 7: Serve and Garnish

  • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving, if desired.

Notes

  • Preventing Stickiness: Always spread a thin layer of sauce at the bottom to prevent the ravioli from sticking.
  • Even Layering: Arrange the ravioli and other ingredients evenly to ensure the best texture and cooking result.
  • Cooking Time Adjustment: If you prefer a firmer texture, reduce the cooking time by 30 minutes.
