Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C) and line a muffin pan with cupcake liners.
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Cream the butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
- Mix in the sour cream, then gradually mix in the dry ingredients alternating with the milk.
- Divide the batter among liners and bake for 20 minutes. Let cool.
- For the filling, melt sugar over medium heat, whisking as it melts. Add butter, then slowly drizzle in cream and salt. Let cool.
