  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 1 tbsp water (for thickening)
  • ½ cup caramel sauce
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Cinnamon Roll Dough

Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Take out your package of refrigerated cinnamon roll dough and press each roll into a greased muffin tin. This will create small tart shells that will hold the apple filling. Bake the cinnamon roll cups for 10-12 minutes or until they are golden brown. Remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly before adding the filling.

Step 2: Cook the Apples

While the cinnamon roll cups are baking, prepare the apple filling. In a medium-sized saucepan over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Once the butter is melted, add your peeled and diced apples, along with the sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla extract. Stir well to coat the apples in the sugar and spices. Cook the mixture for about 10 minutes, or until the apples soften and release their juices.

Step 3: Thicken the Filling
