Whether you’re cooking for someone special or treating yourself, this recipe is the perfect choice for comfort, flavor, and a touch of romance.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
    • Seasoned with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder.
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust for spice preference)
  • 1 package (9 oz) refrigerated cheese ravioli
  • Fresh basil leaves, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare and Season the Chicken

Start by heating the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. While the oil heats up, season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder.

Step 2: Sear the Chicken

Add the seasoned chicken breasts to the skillet. Sear each side until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes per side, until fully cooked through. Once done, remove the chicken and set it aside to rest.

Step 3: Make the Creamy Sauce

In the same skillet, pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to deglaze the pan and incorporate any flavorful bits from the chicken. Add the sun-dried tomatoes, Parmesan cheese, and red pepper flakes. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, allowing the sauce to thicken, approximately 5-7 minutes.

Step 4: Cook the Ravioli

While the sauce is thickening, prepare the ravioli according to the package instructions. Once cooked, drain the ravioli and set aside.

Step 5: Combine and Serve

Slice the cooked chicken and return it to the skillet, along with the cooked ravioli. Gently toss everything together until the ravioli and chicken are well-coated in the creamy sauce. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving for an elegant touch.

Notes

  • Adjust Spice Levels: Add more or less red pepper flakes depending on your spice preference.
  • Creamy Sauce Consistency: If the sauce becomes too thick, add a little more chicken broth to reach your desired consistency.
  • Alternative Proteins: You can substitute chicken with turkey or shrimp for a delicious variation.
