Garlic Parmesan Chicken Meatloaves – Easy & Flavorful Recipe

Description

Welcome, food lovers! Today, we’re diving into a delicious and wholesome meal that will become your new family favorite—Garlic Parmesan Chicken Meatloaves. This recipe is a fantastic way to mix things up in the kitchen, offering a lighter alternative to traditional beef meatloaf while keeping all the flavors you crave. Let’s get cooking!

Ingredients

Scale

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup finely chopped parsley
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ¼ cup grated mozzarella cheese (optional)

Optional substitutions:

  • For a gluten-free version, replace the breadcrumbs with almond flour or gluten-free breadcrumbs.
  • For a dairy-free option, substitute the milk with almond or oat milk and skip the Parmesan cheese.

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Preheating ensures that your oven reaches the right temperature for even cooking.

Step 2: Mix the Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, parsley, garlic, egg, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix until everything is evenly distributed.

Step 3: Add the Milk

Pour in the milk and mix well. This ensures the meatloaves stay moist while baking.

Step 4: Shape the Meatloaves

Divide the mixture into four portions, shape them into loaves, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Step 5: Drizzle with Olive Oil

Drizzle the tops of the meatloaves with olive oil for that golden-brown crust.

Step 6: Bake

Bake the meatloaves for 25-30 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Optionally, add mozzarella cheese on top during the last 5 minutes of baking for a cheesy finish.

Cooking Tip: Use a meat thermometer to ensure the meatloaves reach the correct internal temperature for optimal safety and flavor.

Notes

  • Use fresh ingredients: Fresh parsley and garlic will elevate the flavors.
  • Cheesy center option: Place a cube of mozzarella inside the meatloaf for a melty center surprise.
