Lobster tails, when cooked to perfection, offer a rich and savory flavor that pairs excellently with the creamy garlic butter sauce. Let’s dive into making this simple yet elegant meal!

Ingredients

Scale

  • 4 lobster tails
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Optional Substitutions:

  • Butter: Substitute with margarine or olive oil for a lighter option.
  • Garlic: Use garlic powder if fresh garlic is unavailable.
  • Lemon juice: Lime juice can be used as an alternative.

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Lobster Tails

  1. Start by preheating your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Using kitchen scissors, cut through the top shell of each lobster tail, ensuring not to cut the meat underneath. Gently pull the shell apart, exposing the meat.
  3. Rinse the lobster tails and pat them dry with a paper towel. Place them on a baking tray.

Step 2: Make the Garlic Butter Mixture

  1. In a small bowl, mix together melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined.
  2. Using a brush or spoon, generously coat the exposed lobster meat with the garlic butter mixture.

Step 3: Bake the Lobster Tails

  1. Place the baking tray in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the lobster meat is opaque and reaches an internal temperature of 140°F (60°C).
  2. Halfway through baking, baste the lobster tails with the remaining garlic butter mixture for added flavor.

Step 4: Serve and Garnish

  1. Remove from the oven, and let the lobster tails rest for a couple of minutes.
  2. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and a wedge of lemon.

Notes

  • Use fresh lobster tails whenever possible for the best flavor and texture.
  • Avoid overcooking the lobster tails, as this can make the meat tough and chewy.
  • For a richer flavor, consider adding a splash of white wine to the garlic butter mixture.
