Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound chicken breast, sliced
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 12 ounces fettuccine pasta
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Optional substitutions:

  • Use gluten-free pasta for dietary preferences.
  • Substitute heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter option.

Instructions

Step 1: Cook the Pasta

Boil fettuccine pasta according to package instructions. Drain, set aside, and lightly toss with olive oil to prevent sticking.

Step 2: Prepare the Chicken

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season the chicken with Cajun seasoning and cook for 6–7 minutes until fully cooked. Remove and set aside.

Step 3: Sauté the Shrimp

In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil. Season the shrimp with Cajun seasoning and cook for 2–3 minutes per side or until pink. Remove and set aside.

Step 4: Make the Sauce

Reduce the heat to low. Melt butter in the skillet, then sauté minced garlic for 1 minute until fragrant. Add heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens slightly.

Step 5: Combine Ingredients

Return the cooked chicken and shrimp to the skillet. Add paprika, salt, and pepper to taste. Toss the fettuccine pasta in the sauce until fully coated.

Step 6: Garnish and Serve

Transfer to a serving dish, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use fresh shrimp for the best flavor and texture.
  • Adjust the level of Cajun seasoning to your spice preference.
  • Add vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms for extra flavor and nutrients.
